Gilbert Gottfried, a comedian in South Florida, died at the age of 67.
Gilbert Gottfried was a famous comedian and an actor of America. Now the news is out that he is no more, he is died at the age of 67. His family shared this information on his verified twitter account about his death, saying that he is no more between us.
The statement given by family was that “We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved Gilbert Gottfried after a long illness,”. He was suffering from a serious rare disease called type II myotonic dystrophy which is a kind of muscle dystrophy.
This is revealed by Glenn Schwartz who was a publicist and his good long-time friend too. In another statement Gottfried’s family titled him as a “most iconic voice in comedy” including they said that “he was a wonderful husband, brother, friend and father to his two young children.”
The new broken by his family about his death made his fans emotional. He was one of most loved and popular face of the industry. Gottfried’s death isn’t the only tragedy to hit the comedy community in recent months: actor Bob Saget of “full house” and comedian Louie Anderson of “baskets” died earlier this year.
In a January tweet that included a beautiful snapshot of the trio, the Emmy-nominated actor paid gratitude to his humorous buddies. Gottfried was the original voice of the Aflac duck in advertisements for the Columbus, Georgia-based insurance firm, but he was fired after 11 years due to a series of tweets in which he joked about the terrible 2011 Japanese earthquake and tsunami, which killed people over 2,400.
He eventually apologized in public. Although yes, it is sad moment for every person who was connected to him but as his family said that we have to keep laughing as loudly as possible in Gilbert’s honour.
